01 Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using globalcyberinstitute.org (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
02 About the organization
The Site is operated by the Global Cyber Institute ("GCI," "we," "us"), a non-profit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, based in the State of New York. GCI is dedicated to furthering information security skills at the board and executive level, including in partnership with UCLA Extension.
03 Use of the Site
You may use the Site for lawful, personal, and informational purposes. You agree not to:
- use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or related systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Site;
- introduce malware or use the Site to transmit unsolicited communications;
- scrape, harvest, or collect information about other users without authorization.
04 Educational content & program enrollment
Content on the Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes and does not constitute legal, financial, technical, or professional advice. Course offerings, dates, locations, faculty, pricing, and availability are subject to change. Enrollment in certificate programs is administered through UCLA Extension and is subject to UCLA Extension's own terms, policies, and eligibility requirements. Completion of any program does not guarantee any particular outcome, certification, employment, or result.
05 Intellectual property
The Site and its contents — including text, graphics, logos, the "Global Cyber Institute" name and marks, and design — are owned by GCI or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and share links to the Site, but you may not copy, reproduce, republish, or create derivative works from its content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by fair use. Third-party names, marks, and logos shown on the Site (for example, those of committee members' organizations) are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.

If you contact us through the Site, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share it. Please do not send confidential, privileged, or sensitive personal information through the contact form. We handle submissions in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GCI and its directors, officers, faculty, volunteers, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
11 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York, New York.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
